REASI, Aug 25: District Level Inter-School Competitions in the sporting disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling for under-19 boys, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at Zorawar Sports Stadium, here.
In Kabaddi final, GHSS Reasi beat GHSS Panassa with the margin of two points and the score remained 19-17. Earlier, GHSS Reasi defeated GHSS Pouni and GHSS Panassa smashed GHSS Katra in the semifinals.
In Volleyball final, GHSS Salal emerged winner by defeating GHSS Arnas with straight sets 2-0. The score remains 25-23 and 25-23.
In Kho-Kho final, GHSS Katra dominated the whole competition in the preliminary rounds but their domination was challenged by the players of GHSS Reasi in the final but they succeeded to win the match in the last few seconds. The score remained same at the end of first inning 1-1. In the second inning, GHSS Reasi managed to get two points but they failed to show their full potential and loose the match in the last minute. The final score was 4-3.
In Wrestling, Rashpal Singh of GHSS Panassa emerged winner in 42 kg, Ravinder Pal Singh of GHSS Gota in 46 kg, Jameet of GHSS Channa in 50 kg, Deepak of GHS Dhanori in 55 kg, Chander Dev of GHSS Gota in 60 kg, Sudarshan of GHSS Reasi in 66 kg and Mangal Singh of GHSS Panthal in 74 kg.
