JAMMU, Mar 1: Hardeep Singh former Ranji player of J&K who recently represented New Zealand Cricket team in over 40 years mega cricket championship at Australia today said that the selection of senior J&K cricketer Rajesh Gill to represent the Indian Cricket team in the legends’ World Cricket Cup is a great inspiration for all senior cricketers.
It was stated by him during a function organized at Jammu in presence of some senior cricketers. He said that the world cup is a very big event in the game of Cricket and to participate in the world cup is like a dream.
He further said that he specially came here from New Zealand to greet and facilitate Gill for this achievement wherein 14 countries which includes India, Australia, England, Wales, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, USA, Canada, Namibia, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe and U.A.E. are taking part.
Hardeep Singh also presented his personal Cricket bat to Rajesh Gill and conveyed his best wishes for the best performances for the world cup. He also discussed the cricketing strategies to show best performances in the matches and apprised him (Gill) about the climate conditions of Cape Town cricket pitches.
