JAMMU, Oct 28: Four wickets haul by Mukesh Gill went in vain as Absolute Cricket Club (ACC) thrashed Miran Sahib Cricket Club (MSCC) by 3 wickets in the opening match of the 2nd Diwali T-20 Cup, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Cricket Club Simbal Camp at Government Boys High School, Simbal Camp, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, MSCC made paltry 81 runs by losing all the wickets in 16.5 overs. Harman and Kaka chipped in 20 runs each.
For ACC side, Gora scalped 3 wickets by giving 11 runs in 3.5 overs, while Nitan and Manjot took 2 wickets each.
In reply, ACC chased the target easily in 15 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Balkeet was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Nitin and Manjit scored 21 and 16 runs respectively.
For MSCC side, Mukesh Gill was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets by conceding 5 runs in 4 overs, while Abhinav clinched 2 wickets and Jugjap took one wicket.
Mukesh Gill of MSCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and Harcharan Singh as umpires, while Jagandeep Singh maintained the scoreboard.
