JAMMU, May 21: An 18-year old girl allegedly made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Karal area of Nagrota constituency.
According to a police spokesperson, a young girl identified as Shikha Devi daughter of Krishan Lal, a resident of Karal falling under the limits of police post Manwal, today consumed some poisonous substance.
In unconscious condition, the family members rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where her condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
