KATHUA, Jan 13: A seven year old girl was crushed to death by a matador which was in high speed in village Singi Morh falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station this evening.
As per reports the girl identified as Avinisha daughter of Sunil Kumar of Sangi Morh was walking along the ramp of the local road when the matador bearing number JK08D-4137 which came from behind in high speed crushed her to death on spot.
The driver fled after the accident while the matador has been seized by the police. The locals protested against the negligent drive. The Police Post Chadwal has registered a case under Section 304 A. The dead body of the girl has been kept in SDH Hiranagar mortuary for postmortem and it will be handed over to the family for last rites after autopsy tomorrow.
