UDHAMPUR, May 19: A young girl died after being hit by a boulder, which fell on her while walking on the roadside at Katwalta in Ramnagar area.
The deceased has been identified as Shobha Devi (19), daughter Shiv Lal of Katwalta. She reportedly died on the spot when a boulder fell on her from a height due to JCB work for construction of a tractor road under PMGSY. However, Police has registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, in a collision of two trucks on the National Highway near Kud, driver of one of the vehicles was injured. The victim was identified as Kulwant Singh, son of Narayan Singh of Jalandhar, Punjab and driver of truck PBCP-8226.
