SAMBA, Sept 17: A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was killed during an accident in Kangwala village on the International Border (IB) in Samba district on Saturday morning. The deceased girl has been identified as Ananya, daughter of Ram Das resident of Chhatarpur Madhya Pradesh (MP).
According to the information, the parents of the girl used to work as daily wagers. Even at the time of the accident, the family was working when suddenly the contractor’s vehicle passed over the girl and the girl died on the spot. The relatives took him to the District Hospital Samba, where her post-mortem was done. As per reports the contractor’s driver was absconding as he fled from the spot and the family members alleged that the contractor was pressurizing them to settle the matter by taking money.
The family members demanded justice and have made an appeal to district administration and police in this regard. In this context, the police have also registered a case and started investigation.
