SRINAGAR, May 30: A 12-year-old girl was drowned in a stream after falling from a high mountain ridge in Karnah, Kupwara.
A police spokesman said the girl, Anjum alias Komal, daughter of Molvi Khursheed Ahmad of Surmapadi, Karnah slipped from a high mountain ridge and fell into stream Battamaji at Surmapadi, Karnah.
Her body was fished out from the stream later, the spokesman said.
