SRINAGAR, Aug 11: A minor girl drowned and died in Shamsipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said here.
A police spokesman said that a 12 year-old girl namely Shanu Jan drowned in Vesho while she was bathing at Shamsipora village of the district.
“The body of the deceased was retrieved from the river. After completing medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her next of kin for last rites,” the spokesman added.
