Srinagar, Dec 5: Police today said a teenage girl committed suicide in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman said 18 year-old girl (name withheld) who hailed from Khansahib area of Budgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home.
“She was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. After medico-legal formalities police handed over the body of deceased to her relatives for last rites,” he said, adding that police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
