POONCH, Aug 23: A 16 year-old girl was injured due to lightning at Sankh Doda hamlet in Mandi area of Poonch district today.
Officials identified the victim as Nayima Kouser, daughter of Mohd Bashir, resident of Dhangri Mohalla Paddar of Tehsil Mandi in Poonch. They said that injured girl was taken to District Hospital Poonch after lightning hit her in the hamlet. She is still under treatment at Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital Poonch, police said.
