JAMMU, Oct 26: A minor girl was killed today after being hit by a speeding bike at Bathindi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl identified as Asia Bukhari (6) daughter of Rashid Ali Shah, a resident of Government Quarter No 26 at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, was on her way back to her maternal uncle’s home along with her mother when a rashly drive bike registration No- JK02AQ-3208 hit and left her seriously injured near Mecca Masjid, Bathindi, this evening.
The blood ridden girl was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased girl was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital, where post mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station and further investigations are underway.
