Glamorous CC enters finals; CUE Club logs win

JAMMU, July 15: Outlaying YCC convincingly in the semifinal, Glamorous Cricket Club Poonch entered into the finals, while CUE Cricket Club got the better of Shrakhapura Cricket Club in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), under the supervision of JKCA Committee of Members including Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at various venues in Jammu province.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, Glamorous Cricket Club defeatd YCC by a big margin of 71 runs. Bating first, Glamorous Club scored 190 runs in 25 overs. Sunil scored 69 runs, while Sachin contributed 40 runs to the total. Abid and Rahoof picked 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, YCC managed to score 119 runs to lose the match by 71 runs. Zahid and Rijwal chipped in with 25 and 23 runs respectively. Deepa, Marchu and Rahul took 2 wickets each. Sunil Sharma of Glamorous Club was declared as the man of the match.
At Choghan ground Kishtwar, CUE Cricket Club defeated Shrkhapura Cricket Club by 69 runs.
CUE Club scored a good total of 194 runs, with Waseem scoring 57 runs and Faizan contributing 42 runs to the total.
SCC, bundled out for 125 runs in 21 overs to lose the match by 69 runs.
In yet another match at Choghan ground, Samina Cricket Club rode a brilliant batting display by Nasir and defeated GDC Kishtwar by 46 runs.
Batting first, Samina Cricket Club scored 214 runs in 21 overs. Nasir scored power-packed 116 runs off 57 balls, studded with 12 fours and 5 sixes. Rajat took 4 wickets for GDC Kishtwar, while Arvind and Owais bagged 3 wickets each.
In reply, GDC Kishtwar managed to score 168 runs in 23 overs. Shubham scored 49 runs, while Arslan contributed 35 runs. Salik and Sameer took 3 and 2 wickets for Samina Club respectively. Nasir of Samina Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match.
