JAMMU, Feb 2: GLS Public School today organised Annual Sports Meet with full gaiety and fervour here.
School Administrator, Gurpreet Singh in his address emphasized on the importance of physical activities in today’s technology driven life wherein children are becoming habitual of spending most of their time with electronic gadgets like smart phones, laptops and television.
He further added that the games and sports inculcate a spirit of healthy competition and team spirits among the children among the students.
The whole playground had been decorated with flags, buntings and balloons a day earlier. The students of the school grabbed the opportunity to show their talents in various sporting events.
The outdoor games included Volleyball, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Athlatics (Sprint race), Sace races, three legged races, Kabaddi, Caterpillar race, Basket balance race, Paper plate race, Back to back race while in the indoor games including Carrom, Chess, Scrabble and Table Tennis wherein students took part enthusiastically.
The staff and the management congratulated the winners and motivated every child by appreciating them for taking up the challenge and thus participating in the events.
