GMC-Udhampur Principal calls for adhering to NMC guidelines

JAMMU, Sept 1: Principal Govt Medical College Udhampur Dr Mrityunjay Gupta today announced the opening of Medical College, dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare while strictly adhering to the guidelines established by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The function started with Ribbon cutting by Dr Mrityunjay in presence of FA/CAO Dr Lokesh Gupta, Deputy Director of Medical College, Heads of various Departments and other faculty members of Govt Medical College Udhampur.
The Principal, in his inaugural address to students, emphasized on few key principals that will help students guide through challenging years ahead. He stressed on steadfast commitment to excellence in medical education in GMC Udhampur all in alignment with the rigorous standards outlined by the National Medical Council of India.
Lamp Lighting ceremony commenced with the lighting of a Diya’s, a symbol of knowledge and enlightenment. This ritual was performed by the Principal of GMC Udhampur. It signifies the start of pursuit of knowledge.
The Heads of Departments from various departments were present which indicates the holistic approach to Medical Education at GMC Udhampur. During the oath taking ceremony, the new students wore aprons and stethoscopes, symbolizing their entry into the medical profession.
