JAMMU, May 5: Inter School and Zonal Level Tournaments, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines were played by different venues.
JAMMU: Inter School Tournament for under-14 and 17 girls was conducted at GGHSS Bakshi Nagar.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GMS Muthi defeated Crescent Public School by 17 points, GHS Rajuha beat GMC Khalsa by 9 points, SOS beat GMS Old Janipur by 16 points and GS Chak Changawl beat SOS by 24 points.
In under-17 Kabaddi, SOS beat GHSS Canal Road by 24 points, GHSS Paloura beat GHSS Nowabad by 3 points.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GMS New Plot, GMS Patta, GMS Muthi and GNDS Gole Gujral registered wins.
SATWARI: Inter School Competitions in the disciplines of Kabaddi and Kho-Kho for under-14 and 17 girls concluded at Government High School Jammu Cantt.
In under-17 Kho-Kho, GHSS Satwari beat GHS Bhour Camp by 10-9 points in the first semis.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GHS Rakh Bandhu beat GHS Laxman Pura by 28-10 points in the first semifinal, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Satwari registered win over GHSS Mandal by 32-28 points in the first semifinal.
RS PURA: Inter School Tournament in Kho-Kho and Kabaddi disciplines for under-14 and 17 girls concluded here today.
In under-14 Kho-Kho final, GMS Mill Area RS Pura beat GHS Dablehar by 4-2 points, whereas in under-17 category final, GGHS Rangpur Maulana registered win over GHS Seer Balah by 6-5 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, GGHS Rangpur Maulana beat GHS Dablehar by 6 points, whereas in under-17 final, GGHS Rangpur Maulana defeated GHS Satrayan by 8 points.
BHALWAL: Inter School Zonal Level Competition in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball for under-14 and 17 girls got underway at GHSS Bhalwal.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GHS Kangrail beat BHMP barnai by 3-1, whereas as in under-17 category, GHS Seri Panditian defeated GHS Raipur by 2-0.

In under-14 Handball (boys), GMS Jakhani and GHS Sattani bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, AOC HS and GHS Sattani emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-14 Handball (girls), GHS Jaganoo and GHS Sattani bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Jaganoo and GHS Kawa emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-14 Badminton (girls), Bharti Sharma of GHSS Jaganoo emerged winner and Prashant Public School remained runner-up in singles, whereas in under-17 category, Kajal Thakur and Falak Bhatti of Prashant Public School emerged winner and GHSS Jaganoo remai-ned runner-up in doubles.
In under-17 Badminton (girls), Lakshmi of GHSS Jaganoo and Holy Angel High School bagged winner and runner-up positions respectively in singles, whereas in under-17 Badminton, Maina Thakur and Lakshmi of Holy Angel HS and GHSS Jaganoo bagged winner and runner-up positions in doubles.

In under-14 High Jump (boys), Vijay Kumar of GHS Seen Brahamana bagged first position, while in under-17 category, Keshav Sharma of GHS Jib clinched first position.
In under-14 Long Jump (boys), Uttam Singh of GMS Manthal emerged winner, whereas in under-17 category, Dhanajay Verma of Sainik Cooperative School Tikri bagged first position.
In under-14 races (boys), Vishal Chand of GMS Mora Gujjran bagged first position in 100 meters, Ajeet Singh of RK Public School Seen Brahamana clinched first position in 200 meters, Parvez Chowdhary of GHS Chiryai secured first position in 400 meters and Akhil Raina of Sanik co- operative Tikri bagged first position in 600 meters.
In under-17 races (boys), Raghuvir Singh of GHS Seen Brahamana bagged first position in 100 meters, Keshav Singh of Sainik Co-operative School Tikri clinched first position in 200 meters, Anwar Ali of GHS Hartayan bagged first position in 400 meters, Keshav Sharma of GHS Jib secured first position in 800 meters, Vishav Sharma of GHS Chiryai bagged first position in 1500 meters and Surinder Singh of GHS Chiryai bagged first position in 3000 meters.
In under-14 Discuss Throw (boys), Arjun Singh of GHS Jib bagged first position, whereas in under-17 category, Kabir Begh of GHS Hartayan claimed first position.
In under-14 Shotpur (boys), Sourav Khajuria of RK Public School Seen Brahamana bagged first position, whereas in under-17 category, Kabir Begh of GHS Hartayan clinched first position.
In under-17 Javelin Throw, Vishal Singh of GHS Mand bagged first position.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (girls), GHS Hartayan emerged winner, while GHSS Barolla stood runner-up.
KATHUA: Inter School Tournament in the discipline of Taekwondo for under-14 and 17 boys and girls was held at Sports Stadium here.
In under-14 boys, Ramji of GMS Kardoh, Deepak Kumar of GMS Janglote, Shivam Sharma of KV Hiranagar, Mohit Verma of SIS Hiranagar, Goridev and Mohit of DPS Rajbagh and Keshav Khajuria of KV Hiranagar won gold medals in 23, 27, 29, 32, 35, 38 and 41 kg categories respectively.
In under-17 boys, Baljeet Singh of SIS Hiranagar, Utkarsh of DPS Rajbagh, Amit Khajuria and Chetan Sharma of KV Hiranagar, Ram Dyal of DPS Rajbagh and Shubham Jamwal of KV Hiranagar stood first in 35, 38, 41, 48, 52 and 56 kg weight categories respectively.
In under-14 girls, Anjali of GMS Kardoh, Priya of GMS Kardoh, Kanika Andhotra of IPS Kathua, Anamika of KV Hiranagar and Samriti of IPS Kathua won gold in below 26, 29, 32, 35 and 38 kg categories respectively, whereas in above 38 kg, Anu Radha of KV Hiranagar stood first.
In under-17 girls, Diksha Bharti of KV Hiranagar bagged gold in below 44 kg, Sunaina of DPS Ragbhag won gold in 48 kg and Arisha of KV got gold in 51 kg.
BATOTE: Two days Inter School Zonal Level Tournament in the discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and Volleyball concluded here at HSS Batote.
In under-14 Kho Kho (girls), GMS Sawani defeated GMS Gami by 1 point, GHS Batote defeated MS Chakwa by 3 points and GMS Sawani emerged winner by defeating GHS Batote by 3 points.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (girls), GHS Sanasar defeated GHS Batote by 7 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi (girls), GMS Sawani defeated GMS Gami by 5 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Sanasar defeated GHS Batote by 6 points.
BHADERWAH: Inter-school Zonal Level Competitions in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling for under-14 and 17 boys commenced today at Government Higher Secondary School Boys here.
In under-17 Volleyball, High School Nichlathara and Higher Secondary School Chinta defeated their opponents to reach in the finals while in Under-14 Volleyball, High School Nichlathara and Islamia School Bhadarwah entered into finals after winning their knockout matches.
In under-17 Kabaddi, GHSS Boys and GHSS Sartingal entered into finals, while in under-14 Kabaddi, Holly Mission School and Green Model Academy defeated their all opposite teams.
In under-17 Kho-Kho, Aadarsh Vidya Bhawan and HSS Boys reached to finals while in under-14 category, GHS Nichlathara and Aadarsh Vidya Bhawan defeated their opponents to enter final.
The final matches of all categories and wrestling competition will be held on tomorrow.
RAMGARH: Inter School Zonal Level Tournament in the discipline of Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi was held here.
In under-14 Volleyball final (boys), Ajanta Academby beat GMS Ramgarh by 2-0, whereas in under-14 Kho Kho final (boys), GHSS Nandpur defeated GHS Swankha by 15-5.
In under-14 Kabaddi, HSS MIER beat GHSS Nandpur by 21-15.
