JAMMU, May 13: Highligh-ting unique features of the GNA University, its Vice-Chancellor Dr Prem Kumar today announced special scholarships to the J&K students and asked them to join the institution, which has opened its local office at JKIETR, Luthra Building Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
While addressing a press conference, here today, he gave reasons to join the University by explaining the unique features like strong Industry linkage, career focused curriculum, project based learning, live projects from Industry, Student’s Clubs, personality grooming sessions, guest lectures by people from industry and Academia, Industrial visits, proficient and experienced faculty, Foreign Language Department, Research based learning, experiential learning, international tie-ups, State of art infrastructure, international placements and summer trainings and outstanding placement record.
“GNA University is designed to be a leading higher education organization engaged in creating, preserving and imparting knowledge to a diverse community of students. The University aspires to nurture value based leaders who have knowledge and skills to create success in their organizations,” he said.
While informing that GU offers both Undergraduate and Master level degree programmes in various domains, the Vice-Chancellor said that the programme is a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge that enhances students’ thinking and creative ability. “The unique feature of the programs conducted at the University is the focus on experiential learning, industrial internships, learning to learn principles, flexible, credit based study programs and holistic development of personality which in turn will ensure employability of the students,” he added.
The VC further informed that academia curriculum of GNA University is delivered through various schools, such as School of Engineering and Technology, Art and Design,
Design and Innovation, Hospitality, Computational Sciences, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences etc. The university also puts great emphasis on research through its faculty and students, he added.
“Also, the college’s infrastructure is well furnished with all modem facilities. GNA
University’s Wi-Fi campus has impressive infrastructure with well equipped labs, lecture theatres, seminar halls, workshops, and separate hostel for boys and girls, transport facility is available from all nearby towns,” he elaborated.
