JAMMU, Dec 14: GNA University organized ‘Prativad’, an Inter-School Contest 2014 at Hotel Asia, here.
The contest provided a unique and exciting platform for students to showcase their skill and talent.
The event was on invitational basis in which there were Quiz, Young Chef, Poster Making and Face Painting competitions.
There were over 500 enthusiastic students who came to participate from around 50 schools from all over Jammu region.
All events were judged by external judges namely Prof Harshvardhan, Institute of Fine Arts, Jammu University and Chef Naresh from Hotel Asia.
It was a tough fight amongst the participating students who came along with their teachers from Jammu city, Kathua, Samba and Akhnoor.
The chief guest, Prof Manoj Dhar, Registrar GNA University lauded the efforts of S Gurdeep Singh Seehra, Pro Chancellor GNA University for providing opportunity to the students to showcase the talent and win exciting prizes.
All the participants were given certificates of participation.
The winners were KS Public School, Jammu Poster Making Competition; Army Public School Janglot, Face Painting Competition and Quiz Competition; BSF Senior Secondary School, Jammu, Young Chef Competition.
All winners were awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs 5,100, while 1st runners-up and second runners-up were given cash prize of 3,100 and 2,100 along with trophy.
Sunil Sarad, Sr GM, Corporate Affairs and Bhupinder Singh Head HR graced the occasion with their presence.
