JAMMU, Jan 18: Guru Nanak Nagar (GNN) Hockey Club defeated Ajit Club, Gole Gujral by four goals to nil (4-0) in the opening match of Baba Feteh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The first goal was scored by Simranpal in 13th minute, while the 2nd goal was netted by Gurdeep Singh in 19th minute. Gagandeep Singh scored the 3rd goal in 28th minute, while the 4th goal was scored by Manpreet Singh in 45th minute.
The match was officiated by Karanjit Singh, JS Reen, Joginder Singh and Satvir Singh.
GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K and MS Reen, Resident Secretary Hockey J&K were present on the occasion.
In tomorrow’s fixture, MRS Club Simbal Camp will take on Vijaypur Warriors at 12 noon, Lachipora Club Kathua will face Bagh-i-Bein Club Goal Gujral at 1:30 pm and Singh Hockey Club Bandu Rakh will lock horns with Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar at 2:30 pm.
