JAMMU, Nov 18: A British Council Activity highlighting the importance of World Literature was organised by the students of class VIII at G.D Goenka Public School, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, here today.
The title of the activity was “A Window to the World Literature”. Students representing different countries spoke about the literature of their countries. The countries were U.S.A, U.K, France, Germany, Russia, Iran, Spain, Canada, West Indies and India. The participants highlighted the salient features of their literature with a sense of pride and admiration . They also displayed flags and dresses of their countries.
On this occasion, Abi and Beth, (Teaching Assistants from U.K) were the special guests who appreciated the activity and expressed their views about the World Literature.
The Principal of the school Rajesh Rathore, lauded the efforts of the students and their teachers. He also encouraged them to read literature of various languages to get a global perspective.
