Goenka undertakes Globetrotters Project

JAMMU, Oct 31: Globetrotters Project was undertaken by the young ones of Class Ist students of GD Goenka Public School, here today.
The activity was divided into three parts.
The students researched on four countries namely India, United Kingdom, Pakistan and Nigeria.
The students made charts and models on different places of interest, clothes, etc. related to these countries.
They also made a collage of flags of these countries.
The students were given information about these countries. They then put up a display of all the charts and models.
Dressed up in the costumes of these countries the students greeted the visitors using the language spoken in these countries.
The concluding part of the activity was a dance presentation. The students presented the dances belonging to different countries.
Director, Sanya Bansal lauded the efforts put in by the teachers and the students for organizing the various activities conducted under the title ‘Globe Trotters’.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Jyoti Asija said that such type of projects give a global exposure to the students at a very young age hence preparing them for the future needs of the world.
This project is a part of the International School Award (ISA).
