JAMMU, Aug 23: The G.D. Goenka Public School, Jammu has held a Goenkan Commerce Fest 2023 here today. The event was a magnificent convergence of brilliance, innovation, and camaraderie, as students from various schools across the region showcased their talents and enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging events.
The Goenkan Commerce Fest, a significant highlight in the academic calendar, commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the invocation of knowledge and wisdom.
Chief guest, Dr. G. S. Grewal, a notable personality in the fields of chartered accountancy and academia, graced the occasion with his presence and shared insightful perspectives on commerce.
Dr. Grewal’s enlightening session broadened horizons. Participants enthusiastically took part in a plethora of competitive events. The “War of Words” event witnessed an exceptional victory by Heritage Public School and in “Pitch Perfect” event; the top spot was also secured by Heritage Public School.
In the realm of “Com Quest, “IDPS, Jammu emerged victorious, while G.D Goenka Public School, Jammu excelled in “Playnomics.” Additionally, the first place in “Code Royale” was claimed by IDPS Jammu, and the remarkable performance of Army Public School, Damana led them to victory in “The Profit Prophet.”
The prestigious Overall Rolling Trophy was rightfully awarded to Heritage Public School reflecting their commendable achievements across multiple events.
Sanya Bansal, Director, GD Goenka Public School, Jammu and Arindam Roy Choudhury, Principal graced the occasion. The felicitation ceremony was conducted in the presence of these dignitaries.
