JAMMU, Aug 11: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust celebrated Independence Day with Patriotic fervour and zeal, here today.
A cultural programme on the eve was organized by the students of classes I and II.
Students sang patriotic songs followed by a skit.
Students were dressed up as freedom fighters like Subash Chander Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru and others.
Kyna Kesar enacted as Rani Lakshmi Bai and recited the famous poem- ” Khub Ladi Mardani”.
Students further came up with slogans, poems, speech and dance.
The Principal of the School, Dr R P Singh lauded the efforts of the students and the Co-ordinators- Shipra Bali and Nishita Sharma.
