Goenkans selected for Int’l Open Karate C’ship

JAMMU, July 28: Seven students of GD Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust have been selected for the 3rd International Open Karate Championship to be held at Neta Ji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata (W.B.) on July 29 and July 30, 2017.
The Championship is being organized by All India Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Federation, affiliated to World Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Seishinkai International (JAPAN), officially approved by Karate Association of India.
The participants included Rakshit Mehta (8th), Arnav Kaushal (8th), Srishti Wali (8th), Gareema Singh (7th), Katyayni Gupta (7th), Harshit Kohli (6th), Yashas Dev Singh (5th).
They will be accompanied by Coach, Abhijeet Singh Chib, Black Belt 2nd Dan (KAI), while Ambedkar Gupta, President of AKAJK will be supervising the J&K Team.
The Principal of the School, Rajesh Rathore lauded the efforts of the players and their coach for this achievement.
