JAMMU, Apr 29: The students of G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, (Regd) sparkled in the First Invitational Karate-Do Championship at Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, here.
Goenkans won 49 medals in the Championship, with 12 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze. The gold medal winners included Tanuksha Pandotra, Aarushi Sharma, Narmada Thakur, Kalash Sangwan, Srishti Wali, Vasu Vardhar Singh, Dhananjay Singh, Nauman Malik, Rudra Pratap Singh, Aareen Kotwal, Jiteshwar Singh and Ayushman Pandita, while the silver medals went to Harshita Sharma, Arshia Sharma, Nitya Verma, Jasjeet Kour, Rakshit Mehta, Kartavyaveer Singh, Anirudh Bhardwaj, Aakarshan Parimoo, Akshaansh Choudhary, Vaibhav Dhar, Abhiraj Bansal, Chetanya Singal, Amogh Bansal, Vishesh Pandita, Ansh Sharma, Nandan Jalotra, Vinayak Sharma and the bronze medals were claimed by Kaniksha Bhan, Anavi Wattan Tahoor Hillal, Bhumi Rajput, Garima Singh, Malvi Saini, Pragati Gupta, Sourabh Sharma, Apekshit Sharma, Bhavishya Chaman, Saksham Sar, Mumukshu Pratap, Vansh Sharma, Krishna Khajuria, Aditya Jandiyal, Rakshit Bamba, Sehan Sopori, Arnav Koushal, Sanat Singh and Aryan Raina.
School coach, Abhijeet Singh Chib, Black Belt 1st Dan also won a gold medal in the senior open weight kumitee.
The Principal of the School, Dr R P Singh lauded the efforts of the coach for this achievement.
