JAMMU, June 12: Gold’s Gym Jammu today inaugurated flagship social initiative programme ‘Gold’s Summer Fest’ 2017, a fitness fest for the youngsters, here.
The fest will be free of charge in order to promote the goal of health and fitness among youngsters in Jammu.
It will be a two week long programme catering to the age group of 12 to 18 years.
Fest was inaugurated by Ruchi Khan, first lady of Lakshwadeep, wife of Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and Malvika Kalra, founder of Rehai in Jammu, who both are also the esteemed members of the Gym.
Both the guests interacted with the participants of the fest and also encouraged them to follow a healthy lifestyle and inculcate nutritive eating habits.
The director of Gold’s Gym, Chitvan Wazir while addressing on the occasion said that the thought behind this initiative is to spread awareness about healthy living and fit lifestyle amongst the young generation especially the under-privileged section of society.
The Director further said that this camp also aims to spread awareness against substance abuse and other addictions which are growing steadfastly these days.
A variety of activities will be held during this fest which commenced today and will culminate on June 24, 2017.
These activities includes cross fit, Kick boxing, Zumba, Aerobics, Yoga, Functional training, Nutritional counselling and cooking. Besides all these activities an exclusive interactive session with Mr J&K and Mr North India is being organized in order to motivate the youngsters towards the fitness.
