Sir,
People in large always aspire for delivery of good governance. They elect their representatives with this idea that they will deliver goods keeping in mind the welfare of the people. But what we find, aspirations of our people are not met and have to move pillar to post for a small business to be get done. Times sometime go such they return disappointed after sweating their brow for long. Delivery of goods governance is the responsibility of the elected representatives of the people. In a democracy public servants are advisers and not masters of Govt. There is decline in the quality of our public servants. We have suffered a lot over the years because of corruption, favouritism and crime. An honest self introspection will reveal that the administration has been so much politicised that some officials known for their integrity, honesty and efficiency are not allowed to work independently. Is it not moral duty of our politicians to take necessary steps to insulate our public servants from political interference, build their self confidence and punish those who indulge in corruption? If the elected Govt is unable to do so, it has no moral right to remain in the power any longer. Our rulers need to encourage such public servants who are prompt in action and quick in disposal. People should also cooperate Govt. in fighting menace of corruption tooth and nail for the delivery of good governance.
Yours etc…
