JAMMU, Oct 18: A class 10th student of Montessorie Nargis Dutt Public High School, RS Pura, Gorav Kumar and Amandeep of class 12th of St Xavier Convent School, Hatli Morh, Kathua topped in junior and senior categories of the Sunil Padha Memorial Gyan Pratiyogita, the result of which was declared by Akhil Bhartiya Vidyatri Parishad.
The competition was organised by ABVP on September 22, in which students from various schools of the State participated.
In junior category (9th-10th class), the second and third positions were claimed by Kajal Chib of Montessorie Nargis Dutt Public High School, RS Pura and Priya Raina of RS Jagriti Niketan School Kathua respectively. The encouragement prizes were presented to Shagun Sharma of Government High School, Jhallas, Poonch, Vishal Sharma of RS Jagriti Niketan Senior Secondary School, Kathua and Ayushman of National Academy School, Udhampur.
In senior category (11th-12th class), Karamveer Singh of St Xavier Convent School, Kathua and Deepti Gupta of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhanpur claimed second and third positions respectively. Encouragement prizes were presented to Sachin Bhat of Government Higher Secondary School Jagti, Arvind Bhat of Nagbani School and Sahil Chib of Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar.
ABVP State president Dr Verinder Koundal appealed the students to keep on participating in competitive activities as these types of activities leads to success.
