JAMMU, Jan 24: Gorkha Cricket Club defeated Dasal Cricket Club by 8 wickets in an easy contest to advance in the ongoing Jai Baba Santokh Nath T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jai Baba Santokh Nath Environment and Sports Welfare Committee, Smailpur Pt. Prem Nath Stadium, here.
DCC won the toss and decided to bat first to score 125 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajit Singh (39) and Lal Singh (30) were the main contributors. Vicky and Sunny Thappa took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Gorkha Club chased the target easily by losing just 2 wickets, to win the match by 8 wickets. Raghuvir Singh took 2 wickets, Sunny Thappa was declared man of the match for his brilliant contributions.
The match was officiated by Vishwa Nand Chalotra and Ajeet Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Choudhari Club will take on Unit CC in the morning session, while ECC Satwari will face Sarore Adda CC in the evening session.
