JAMMU, June 22: Gorkha Cricket Club defeated Bhatia Cricket Academy by 6 wickets in the ongoing JKCA Jammu District Cricket Tournament being held under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Bhatia Cricket Academy scored 172 runs in 28 overs. Rishab top scored with 46 runs, while Sunny and Ansh contributed 24 and 22 runs to the total respectively. Rahul Koul was the wrecker-in-chief from Gorkha Cricket Club, who took 6 important wickets, while Puneet claimed one wicket.
In reply, Gorkha Cricket Club scored the required runs by losing 4 wicket to win the match by 6 wickets. Nikhil top scored with 53 runs while Aditya and Munish contributed 30 and 24 runs to the total respectively. Deepak took 2 wickets from Bhatia Cricket Academy, while Sahil and Jasbir claimed 1 wicket each. Nikhil was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
