Government Employees & Workers Federation projects demands

JAMMU, Jan 20: Jammu Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Federation held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Kulwant Singh and discussed various issues confronting the Government employees.
While speaking, Singh showed resentment on the step-motherly treatment of the previous Government towards the employees.
He stated that it is very unfortunate that two installment of DA due from January 2014 have not been released in favour of employees.
He also demanded enhancement in medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000, release of 4th installment of arrears of 6th Pay Commission, regularization of daily wagers, contractual and adhoc employees, merger of 50 per cent DA in basic pay, regular salary to NPS and ReT working under RMSA, removal of pay anomalies, grant for pending liabilities in all treasuries and medical policy for all grades.
Singh appealed to the Governor NN Vohra to personally intervene and settle the issues of the employees at the earliest.
Among others present were Shahid Hussain, Subash Chander, KS Samyal, Rampal, Ranjit Singh, Kulesh Kumar, Gaganvir Singh, Romesh Chander, etc.
