JAMMU, Apr 22: Governor N N Vohra, President of Indian Red Cross Society, J&K, felicitated all Governmental and private organizations which had provided support in sponsoring and organizing the Red Cross Mela which was held at Jammu earlier this year. The felicitation function was held at the Raj Bhavan, here today.
The Governor, on the occasion, said that Red Cross is a very important organization which works for the welfare of the humanity. He observed that, adequate resources are required by the District, Regional and State level branches of the Society for suitably discharging their roles. He appealed to the banking sector, industrial and commercial organizations and the rich elements in the society to contribute liberally and espouse the noble objectives of the Red Cross Society.

The Governor thanked all the Sponsors and Supporters and, particularly, the Army for participation in the Red Cross Mela for the first time this year.
