Governor for involving more schools in Red Cross activities

JAMMU, Apr 16: N.N. Vohra, Governor, presented certificates to the students of Jodhamal Public School who had won prizes in different competitions in the Inter-State Junior Red Cross Training Camp.
This camp had been organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab, at Amritsar. The prize distribution function was held here at Raj Bhavan, today.
The Governor interacted with the students and the accompanying staff. The students presented a brief profile of the curricular and co-curricular activities of their school. They also shared their experiences of the Camp at Amritsar. The Governor appreciated the School’s initiative in involving the students in varied community based programmes and observed that such exposures in youth lay a strong foundation for developing positive attitudes in dealing with challenges in later life.
The Governor presented citations to the students who had won prizes in Declamation Contest, Poster making, Group Song, Group Dance, etc.
The prize winners were  Akanksha Sharma, Pratiksha Langer, Muskan Gupta,  Sheikh Snober, Vaishnavi Mahajan, Manav Koul, Arya Abrol, Chraiyu Surana, Aman Anand, Mayank Mahajan and Ms.Sonia Mahajan.
The Governor congratulated the students on their success and wished all of them a bright future ahead.
Rakesh Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Roma Wani, Honorary General Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, J&K, Nandan Kuthiala and Arati Kuthiala, Trustees of the Jodha mal Public School, Trilok Singh Bist, Principal of the Jodhamal Public School, were also present on the occasion.
