SRINAGAR, June 2: N N Vohra, Governor inaugurated the Kashmir Invitation Football Cup-2014, organized by J&K State Sports Council, at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, today.
On the occasion, the Governor was introduced to members of the Organizing Committee and the players of the inaugural match which was played between Air India Football Club XI and Jammu and Kashmir Police XI. The Governor witnessed the match with great interest and appreciated the high level of play by both teams.
Raman Bhalla, Minister for Youth Services and Sports; S.M Sahai, ADGP, Armed; Parvez Ahmad Malik, Secretary, Youth Services and Sports; Farooq Ahmad Shah, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar; Amit Kumar, SSP, Srinagar; Dalip Thusu, Secretary, J&K Sports Council and Zameer A Thakur, President, J&K Football Association were among those present on the occasion.
