JAMMU, Feb 13:  Former Minister and senior National Conference leader Pt Govind Ram Sharma has predicted that the NC would form the Government in J&K on its own after forthcoming Assembly elections in the  State.
Addressing a well attended public meeting at village Mera Mandrian in Akhnoor, he highlighted the achievements of Omar Abdullah Government and its policies for common people of the State.
He said that it was only due to the pressure exerted by Omar Abdullah that the Congress Ministers in Cabinet Sub-Committee could not further delay the report on new administrative units.
Mr Sharma also highlighted several local issues and grievances of the people of Akhnoor. He alleged that the local MLA was not impartial with every pocket of the constituency, which has witnessed unequal development.
The NC leader assured to take up the general issues of people at higher level for their early redressal. Complete majority to NC in next Assembly elections is the solution of all grievances of people in Akhnoor as well as other parts of the State, he maintained and appealed the gathering to strengthen Omar Abdullah.
Earlier, a scooter-car rally was taken out in village for welcoming Pt Govind Ram Sharma.
