JAMMU, June 1: BJP Kashmir has deputed a team of five leaders led by T N Bhat to discuss the yatra arrangements for the pilgrims visiting annual Kheer Bhawani Mela at Tulmulla and Maha Kumb at Naryan Bagh Shadipora with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal.
The team was deputed by president Displaced district Kashmir Chand Ji Bhat today.
The other four members of the team included Virender Kuchru, Dr A K Koul, A K Pandita and Ashok Kumar Bhat.
Bhat said that this year Maha Kumb takes place after 75 years at Shadipora and huge number of pilgrims from different parts of the country will participate in it.
He appealed the administration to make proper arrangements for pilgrims at both the shrines.
Meanwhile, PDP leader and president of Minority Cell Pahalgam Ashok Ji Dhar has made an appeal to DC Anantnag to make all arrangements for the pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Mata Kheer Bhawani at Logripora Pahalgam in Anantnag district.
He said arrangements for tents, drinking water, power, bathrooms etc be made for pilgrims during the yatra days.
He has also urged the SSP Anantnag to ensure proper security to pilgrims and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner was urged to provide free transport facilities to pilgrims.
