JAMMU, July 3: The State Government has asked all its employees to make voluntary contribution towards Red Cross Fund.
The Government in an order issued today has enjoined upon all the employees of the State to contribute in the month of January every year towards Red Cross Society J&K out of their salary as a fixed amount. The procedure for collection of contributions from the employees at the District, Divisional and Administrative Secretariat level and its remittance to the RC Society has also been elucidated in the Circular No. 47-GAD of 2009 dated 19-11-2009 red with Circular No. 35-GAD of 2011 dated 16-12-2011.
An official spokesman said that during the 174th meeting of the State Management Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society, it was decided that the instructions to the concerned be issued for implementation of the decision taken by the Sub Committee regarding voluntary contribution by the State Govt employees towards the Indian Red Cross Society Fund.
Accordingly, all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers are also exhorted to encourage the employees to make generous contributions and remit it to the designated officers for onward transfer to the Red Cross Society in terms of Circular No. 47 of GAD of 2009. The contribution will be deducted from employees’ salary in January every year.
