JAMMU, Apr 13: The Women Development Cell of the Govt College of Education, Canal Road Jammu, today organized slogan writing, poster making and collage making competition in the College premises, here.
The topic for the event was ‘Save the Girl Child” and ”Violence against Women’.
The aim of the competition was to make the youth realize the importance of such relevant topics.
While addressing the volunteers, Principal of the College Prof. Dr Ajeet Angral said that in addition to classroom teaching and learning, understanding the real life situations are also important to become an ideal teacher.
The event was adjudged by Dr Raj Singh, Dr Anil Verma and Prof Anju Bala.
Preety Kohli bagged first position in slogan writing competition, Tasneen Bano got first position in poster making and in collage making competition, first position was clinched by Nabi Baksh.
Members of the Women Development Cell, Dr Rajinder Kour, Dr Neelam Dhar and Prof Mansi Sharma were also present on the occasion. Programme was c oordinated by the convener of the Cell, Dr Jyoti Parihar and vote of thanks was presented by Prof Rubina Yasmeen.
