Govt committed to development of backward areas: Ajaz

Reasi, May 2: Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Ajaz Ahmad Khan today said that the Government was pooling all the available resources to meet the development aspirations of the people, particularly living in far flung areas of the State.
The Minister said this while interacting with the people   during his tour to   Jhandi and  Thakarakote villages here.
Accompanied by a team of officers of district administration, the Minister also listened to the demands of the people of the area including opening of Bank Branch at Thakarote, opening of  Primary Health Centre, road connectivity to the area, up-gradation of Middle School Matta and repair of water supply lines. The Minister gave a patient hearing and issued on spot instructions to the concerned departments to look into the issues and redress the same on priority.
He also instructed the Naib Tehsildar Thakarakote to monitor the presence of staff in the medical dispensaries.
Ajaz Khan assured people that upliftment of the poor and down trodden people, especially living in backward and mountainous belt was the main concern of the Government. He said no stone would be left unturned to come upto the expectations of the people.
Later, the Minister laid the foundation of   high school building Jhandi. The Middle School Jhandi has been upgraded to high school.
