Govt committed to provide basic amenities to general public: Bharat Bhushan

JAMMU, June 13: To address the pressing issues of power scarcity and water crisis that have gripped various parts of Jammu district, a meeting of District Development Council (DDC) Jammu was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi.
During the meeting, the DDC Chairman expressed serious concern over the severe shortage of power and water resources across the district.
Particularly, he took serious note of incomplete projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which have exacerbated the situation, leading to acute shortages of drinking water during the peak summer months.
He emphasized the urgent need for completion of these pending projects and issued a stern warning to the officials of both departments to strictly adhere to guidelines and expedite the pending works without any further delay.
Bharat Bhushan underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring basic amenities for the general public, stressing that no effort should be spared in fulfilling these essential requirements and reiterated his resolve to closely monitor the progress of these projects and urged all stakeholders to work together diligently to mitigate the hardships faced by the residents of Jammu district.
