Govt committed to sustained development of State: Gurezi

JAMMU, Jan 25: Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry (Independent Charge), PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Agriculture and Floriculture Nazir Ahmad Gurezi has said that the Government is committed for ensuring sustained development of the State especially rural and far-flung areas and in this regard several welfare schemes for ensuring socio-economic transformation of the people have been introduced.
The Minister was addressing a series of public meetings during his tour of the Gurez constituency after assuming the charge as the Minister of State.
Mr. Gurezi said that the Government believes in sustained action rather than selling false ideas maintaining that most of the promises made to the people of the State have been fulfilled.
The Minister said that the special thrust and the focus of the Government has been on developing the far-flung and remote areas of the State and in this regard certain vital sectors like Education, Health, Power, R & B and PHE have been given a special attention.
