Govt deputes 3 officers for coordination

JAMMU, May 8: The Union Territory Government has deputed three IAS and KAS officers to different States to coordinate with stranded people of Jammu and Kashmir, instill sense of confidence among them and facilitate their return/stay.
An order to this effect was issued today by the General Administration Department.
IAS officer Sarmad Hafeez will be headquartered at Lucknow and will coordinate with persons stranded in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gurugram and Bihar while KAS officer Talat Parvez Rohella will be stationed at Kolkata and will coordinate with stranded persons at West Bengal, Tripura, Nagaland, Jharkhand and Assam.
Zubair Ahmad, KAS will camp at Mumbai to coordinate with persons stranded at Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh.
“The officers will liaise with local administration and State Government officials regularly and will act as bridge between stranded people and State Government to facilitate their return/stay,” the GAD order said.
