Govt fails to control rising prices of essential commodities: JWAM

JAMMU, Sept 1: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held protest against the State and Central Governments for their failure in controlling the rising prices of the essential commodities including petrol, diesel.
Amid slogans against the State and Central Governments, the activists of JWAM led by its president Sunil Dimple burnt the effigy of the UPA Government. The protesters also flayed the UPA Government for its failure in controlling the decreasing value of the Rupee against the Dollar.
Addressing the gathering, Sunil Dimple demanded resignation of the Prime Minister as his Government has failed to control the rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG.
Dimple asked the Prime Minister to exempt the VAT and Sale Tax on the sale of the petrol, diesel and LPG in the country. He said the Congress has failed to come up to the expectations of the people of the country.
PM should apologize for the missing of the coal scams file from the UPA Coal Ministry office, Dimple demanded.
He also asked the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to implement the Food Security Bill in the State and also to make immediate arrangements for the supply the sugar.
