JAMMU, Dec 14: Government Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar celebrated its second Annual Day function at school premises.
Iftekhar Chouhan, Director Finance was the chief guest while Purshotam Sharma, Joint Director Planning was the guest of honour. Among the other dignitaries present were Deputy Director Planning Mamta Sharma, Vikram Singh Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Bakshi Nagar, SMDC members and parents.
Principal Dr Ranjana Sharma highlighted the school achievements through the annual report of the post session. Meritorious students were given prizes for excellence in academics and sports. The cultural program and a Nukkad Play “Aakhiri Duhan, Aakhri Pidhi ” was also performed by the students. Dogri Dance and Punjabi Bhangra filled the audiences with hues and vibrancy.
A Bal Mela on the theme “Unity in Diversity” was also organized in which different houses represented different States through their stalls. Mementoes and certificates were presented to the participants by the chief guest.
