Govt. making all efforts to upgrade sports infrastructure in J&K: Mir

NARBAL, May 18: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that active participation of Youth in sports activities and other fields shows that they want do for him and society.
Minister said this at the final T- 20 cricket match of Budgam premier league organised by 2RR. About 48 teams of the different areas of Budgam district participated in the Premier league. The Final T-20 match was won by Narbal-A.
Senior Army officers were present on the occasion.
The Minister said that Government is making all out efforts to nourish the ability of youth at different platforms to provide them opportunities to prove their talent for the betterment of the society. He asked the youth to involve themselves in different sports activities as it would help to channelize their talent in right direction.
Mr. Mir said that Government has taken various initiatives to upgrade the sports infrastructure across the State for which advocate funds have been made available on the disposal of sports authorities. He said that Centre has promised to provide a special package to J&K for upgrading of sports infrastructure.
