Govt orders investigation into Rajouri incident

SRINAGAR, Oct 11: The Government today said it has ordered investigation into the Rajouri incident where tension has gripped after an eight year old boy was found murdered last week triggering protests.
“Chief Secretary has been directed to order investigation into the incident,” Minister For Planning, Ajay Sadhotra, said in the Upper House.
As soon as the proceedings of Legislative Council began, Congress member Jahangir Mir rose from his seat requesting the Chairman Amrit Malhotra to direct the Government to investigate the issue.
Mir said an eight year old boy was brutally murdered and the Government should order investigation into the incident to nab the killers.
An eight-year-old boy, Salik Manzoor, was found murdered in Rajouri town in an under-construction building, triggering protests. Police had said the boy had gone missing on way to home from his school.
