JAMMU, Mar 6: A Placement Drive for TATA Motors Ltd, Shahi Exports and Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (SIDCL) was conducted in Government Polytechnic Jammu by UDAAN in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (B-ABLE) of India.
A written test followed by an interview of students of various Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges of J&K were conducted by the team of experts from UDAAN and NSDC.
Another company McNally Bharat Engineering Co Ltd was invited by Government Polytechnic Jammu for Campus Placement for the students of 6th Semester of Civil Engineering.
The company selected six candidates of 6th Semester of Civil Engineering as Diploma Engineer Trainees namely Reshab Sharma, Abishek Lakhan Pal, Ragav Nandan Gupta, Bilal Abbas Wani, Asfaq Majid Giri and Ashwani Dhar, who will undergo on the job training for an year and after completion of the training will be confirmed as Assistant Engineer-Construction.
During training the students will get a stipend of Rs 15000.
The placement letters were issued to selected candidates on-spot by S Majumdar, Manager, Human Resources.
Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt Polytechnic Jammu addressed the students of various branches and thanked the recruiting faculties for proving the opportunity to the candidates.
Prominent among others present during the week-long Placement Drive were Hameed Malik, Training and Placement Officer and Reenu Kotwal.
