DODA, Jan 29: Government school building in Bani area of Trankal in Zone Bhatyas is in deplorable condition.
However, the concerned authorities remained unmoved to get the building repaired thus putting the lives of the students at stake.
As per reports, the building of Government Primary School at Bani area of Trankal in Zone Bhatyas is in deplorable condition.
After heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, the building of the school suffered damages and till today no repair work has been initiated by the concerned authorities.
The parents of the students studying in this school approached concerned authorities several times to get the building of the school repaired, but nothing has been done till today.
“Due to deplorable condition of the school building, there is fear fiasco among the students”, the parents alleged.
After the outbreak of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic, the schools across the country were closed by the Government authorities, the parents said, adding that there was lot of time for the authorities to get the building of this school repaired.
As the Government has announced reopening of the schools, the students are having fear of getting hurt while studying in this deplorable school building, the parents added.
“There are four rooms in the school building and all are in dilapidated condition. We think that the authorities are waiting for any misadventure to take place”, the parents added.
The reports further said that the villagers and parents of the students took up the school building repair issue with the concerned authorities of the Education Department, but nothing has been done till today.
“We have apprehensions that something wrong will happen in the time to come if school building is not repaired at the earliest”, the parents said.
The villagers including parents have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to direct the concerned authorities for repairing of the building before the classes resume as per Government order from February 8 this year.
