JAMMU, Feb 5: National Panthers Party (NPP) Chairman and MLA Harshdev Singh today lambasted the State Government for what he described as its total non governance, non performance, lack of accountability and transparency, patronized corruption and fiscal indiscipline.
He said that the Government has totally failed to deliver on the ground with the administrative machinery having been completely paralyzed, and thus is thriving on false promises and deceptive slogans.
The MLA was speaking in a huge public rally organized by the Panthers Party in Barnai village of Raipur Domona constituency.
Singh said there was all round discontent and disenchantment amongst the people of the State who had felt betrayed by the anti people policies pursued by the present regime. He said that the Government had lost more than 2100 crore of plan funds due to its criminal negligence to perform and owed an explanation to the people of State for the lapse.
Government had totally failed to fulfill its promises made to unemployed youth and alleged that plethora of schemes announced by it including SKEWPY, Udaan and Himayat having totally failed to address the issue of unemployment.
He flayed the coalition partners of hatching a conspiracy to deprive the Panchayats of their legitimate rights and powers as per 73rd constitution amendment. He further questioned the criminal silence maintained by the Government over the issue of holding Urban Local Bodies elections in the State.
Claiming that NPP was a mass movement, which had proved itself in Assembly and outside, he urged upon the people to join NPP, Singh said that it alone could ensure justice to the people of all regions of the State and end all forms of discrimination against Jammu.
