Govt to prepare database of KAS officers

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 26: To generate a database of the State Civil Service officers, the Government has developed a software, which shall be put online from January 1, 2014 for filling up of the requisite information by the concerned officers themselves.
For filling up information in the said software, the KAS officers are being provided with a `user name’ and a `password’.
The Government has therefore asked all the concerned officers to furnish their e-mail IDs to the General Administration Department by or before December 30, 2013 so that an “Access Code” is provided to the officers for filling-up of the requisite fields/information.
Since the GAD  is also in the process of adopting the  on-line filling up of the ‘Self Appraisal Reports’ for initiation, review and acceptance of the APRs in due course of time,  furnishing of the functional e-mail IDs  becomes all the more important.
‘It is, therefore, enjoined upon all the KAS officers including those at the Junior Scale level, to furnish their functional email IDs to the GAD by or before 30th of December, 2013, at gad-jk@nic.in’, says a Government circular.
In case of any difficulty, the officers have been advised to contact Mohammad Tariq, Network Manager, GAD at his Mobile number  9419015198.
In the event of failure of any officer to furnish his/her e-mail ID(s) within the specified time, GAD  would not be providing any ‘Access Code(s)’ to such officer(s), resulting that these officers would not be able to fill in the requisite fields which will create difficulties in getting necessary vigilance clearances in their cases for considering their promotions etc, the circular further says.
